ASTHA STERLING CRANE is vitally concerned with incident prevention and occupational health since they involve the health, safety and welfare of all employees.
Incidents are quite often indicative of inefficient operations which can result not only in employee injuries, but property and equipment damage, production and schedule disruptions, and a lack of service to our customers. All levels of management shall and each employee shall therefore make incident control and occupational health a matter of prime concern.
Further, it is the policy of the company that Astha Sterling Crane will comply with all local, state and federal legislation relating to health and safety. Responsibility for such compliance will rest with the branch managers and department managers.
It must be recognized that each Astha Sterling Crane employee has a responsibility to himself and to the company for his safety and the safety of his fellow workers. He must observe and adhere to all safety rules and instructions relating to safe and efficient work habits. The control and prevention of incidents will require dedicated participation of all employees, as well as continuous scrutiny by all managers and supervisors, in order for the program to be effective and successful.
The measure of this success will be reflected in lower incident frequency and severity rates, improved employee morale, and increased productivity.
